I want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Standard
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What's in place
- Text and interface colors meet WCAG contrast requirements.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines and a "Skip to content" link.
- Images have text alternatives, and pages use proper headings and landmarks.
- Form fields, including the Lead Leak Calculator, have labels, and results are announced to screen readers.
- Motion is reduced for visitors who turn on "reduce motion" in their device settings.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on phone screens.
Pages are tested with automated tools and by hand before changes go live. No accessibility overlay plugins are used.
